What is the difference between religion and faith?

Religion is external and communal. It's expressed in codes of conduct, church attendance and specific rituals for that community. It consists of systems of doctrines and rules.

Faith is internal and private. It's expressed internally as a personal relationship and a state of heart. It consists of total trust and confidence without proof. Faith is intimacy with God.

We want people to come to our religion before they come to faith.

Let us spend this year focused on Jesus and loving people to faith in Him.

Reflection: What change might you need to make to love people to faith in Jesus instead of to your chosen religion?

Prayer: Lord God, help us to be examples of love that makes people want intimacy and relationship with You.
